A-Levels Annual Ball 2008
Hey everyone, the A-Levels Annual Ball 2008 was attended by about 400 attendees yesterday (30th June 2008).
A lot of photo taking activities went on and we’ve managed to get some photos too. View below for some of the event photos.
I’ve reduced the size of the pictures. The quality of the pictures has also been compromised (4MB to about 100kb). If you would like the original copy of the image, kindly email us and we’ll try our very best to meet your request. (In case you’re wondering, nope I didnt photoshop the pictures)
If you would like a particular picture that I’ve taken for you that’s not published here, I would try my best to find that photo for you as most of the images I’ve taken were not published here.

Reports Of Our Deaths Have Been Greatly Exaggerated…
…because we are alive. Yes, fear not, we have not been consumed in the fiery pits of Exams or succumbed to the insane deathgrip of Stress…nor have we given in to the willful grasp of Laziness!
(excuse the excessive personification, I’m a Lit student ^^)
So yeah, here are updates on the A-Levels Ball…
Thus far we’ve sold about 260 tickets! Yay!
…and, okay, not much else to say. We’ll keep you guys informed as and when more exciting things occur! (I mean, you guys don’t really want to hear about ticket design and programme booklet layout and stuff…do you? I mean, seriously? Do you?)
Right! That’s all I have to say this time around!

Afterglow 2008 - Updates!
Hello folks,
Some quick ball updates
First and foremost, the venue has been absolutely confirmed. We went to pay the deposit yesterday and have everything signed and formalised.So it is the KL Hilton for sure.We’re going tomorrow at 2pm to check the place out and take pictures (check back tomorrow night if you want to have a peek at the venue).
On that note,we are considering negotiating a group booking rate for those of you that want to stay the night.However, we need 10 confirmed rooms to start. so if you guys are interested, please pass any one of us your details and we will get started.
Ticket Sales have been going awesome, we’ve sold appoximately 230 tickets after just 2 weeks of ticket sales.We’re near the half way point after just 2 weeks with 8 left to go folks.
Next week the marketing campaign starts and we really start to hype it up properly.For those of you staring at this wondering what the past 2 weeks have been, the answer is that we had a soft start to give people who wanted to book whole tables the chance to do so first and to create some buzz so we could kick off the publicity campaign on a high note.
Sponsorship is pottering along just fine.We have some pretty awesome companies behind us. (I`ll let Jason do the honours since they are his department and he might violate in me in bad bad ways if i steal his fun)
Deco and booklet are kicking off. We’re getting a professional interior designer who specialises in parties to help us. Yes we’re nuts like that.
Entertainment. I cant say much because I think Zyin will also kill me if I spoil it now. But it will be effing awesome.
Ah yes, and there is a surprise in store .Want to know what? Well we’ll just have to wait and see

To Clear Things Up
Getting rid of a few nasty rumours.
No, people, we are not postponing the ball, the date remains 30th June. The deposit date has to be reached by any means possible, but this does not mean the event will be cancelled or shifted around.
No, the location is not the PJ Hilton. I have no idea how this one got started, but don’t worry. The Actual Location will be the Hilton near Sentral, i.e. the One next to Le Meridian. It is a good and lavish place where we will spend our day making merry.
The theme has been CONFIRMED. This means no changes and anything whatsoever, despite anything you might hear. Here is the theme of the annual ball, 2008:
